My teaching update this semester

My sincere thanks to Jerry Huang Jingrui, the spokesman for the Commissioner’s Office of China’s Foreign Ministry, and Liz Liu Elizabeth L., the spokesperson for the U.S. Consulate General in Hong Kong and Macau, who came separately to speak to my postgraduate students at Hong Kong Baptist University over the past two weeks. Reactions from my students, most of whom are from the Chinese mainland, have been very positive. For me, this is a vivid sign of what Hong Kong should be about in this increasingly politicized environment
